You should be able to program your garage door remote after reading this!

I hope this helped. Keep checking my hubs, my next one will deal with programing your car remote control to the opener.

Now, for the programing part you have been http://www.diy-garage-door-parts.com/ waiting for. Hold down the square or round learn button that is on your opener for about 20 seconds. This clears any other remote controls that may have been in the machine. NOTE: If you loose your remote control, or, if you are going thru a divorce, you need the clear the opener so that unwanted people can no longer have access to your house. Another tip..... when you go to have your car serviced make sure you keep your remote control with you!

Look at the photo above and you can see the square (red) button located on the left side of the "Logic board". The logic board is the computer that tells the opener whatto do and when to do it. It is also usually the first thing that lightening will hit in a thunderstorm. I basically is a radio frequency receiver that picks up electrically transmitted signals. Lightening is an electrical signal, and a very powerful one. The little wire on the bottom right side of the logic board is the receivers antenna. DO NOT CUT IT OFF! I have have been to houses that the homeowners complained about the remote control only working when they get really close to the door. When you cut the wire you alter the frequency of the remote control, and have to replace the logic board. The logic board can cost anywhere from 85.00 up to 100.00 depending on your area. Oh, the prices i just quoted didn't include labor.

Ok, once cleared, you take each remote control, and go to the back of the opener where the learn button is. Hold the remote control button down, and push and release the learn button. You should hear a click, and the lights on the machine may come on for a split second. When this happens, the remote control is programmed. Continue this process until all remotes are programmed. Note: The opener will only hold five remote controls, or, four remote controls and one keyless entry.

Remember: Its good luck to shake hands with a sweep!

The reason i say this, is not because i am saying car dealerships or repairmen are crooks, but, there are exceptions to every rule. When you go to get your vehicle repaired you give the people your name, address, and your remote control. I know of one problem where a customer dropped off her Mercedes to be worked on and the mechanic had her address, and took her remote control, and went to her house that night and stole her car. Just stick it into your pocket until you get your car back.

I will be talking about Liftmaster and Craftsman garage door openers. The Chamberlain Corporation makes Craftsman, Chamberlain, and Sears Craftsman garage door openers. Whether you have a chain drive, a screw drive, or, a belt drive opener, they all program the same. There is a "learn" button on the machine that holds the information from the remote control. The learn button may be located on the side of the opener but, most models have them on the rear of the machine. How you can locate the button easily is to find where all of the wires are running into the machine. The learn button is usually square, but, it can be round. The colors of the buttons can be white, yellow, green, red, or the new frequency is purple.

It said the crew managed to stabilize the plane after the co-pilot's error and land it safely.

As for whats next, Collins has plenty of pots on the stove literally and figuratively. Hes also exploring additional television opportunities. Though he has no desire to be another Gordon Ramsay, he does realize that building ones brand through television puts bums on seats. Collins stated, Twenty years ago you didn't have to; you just cooked good food and ran a good restaurant and everything was great. These days its more than that. You got all social media, we got yelp, we got all this kind of stuff and when you're building a business, you're also building a brand.

Collins also isn't tied into any specific school or style of cooking. Thus at Birch there is both new and old styles of cooking. New styles of cooking include sous vide as well as a CVap as another way to do low temp cooking. Old school cooking includes confit and braising. Plus they also have a little yaki-tori grill so theyre also cooking some items over binchotan charcoal.

As for locating Birch in Hollywood, Collins has always been something of a contrarian moving into neighborhoods that arent necessarily hot food destinations before they become destinations. This was certainly the case with both Waterloo & City in Culver City and Larrys in Venice. Collins noted, When we did Waterloo there was nothing in that neighborhood and we were brave or nave enough to do something that had never been there before ...and we were very successful. We did the same down on the beach with Larrys where we put a level of cuisine in that wasnt there before. We used really good quality ingredients. We put in a really good menu, solid menu with fresh ingredients, nothing frozen. The freezer at Larrys is the size of a small convection oven. Nothing goes into a freezer. Its all fresh food and that the philosophy. We try to be ahead of the curve and do a good job. In Hollywood, Collins feels this neighborhood too is on the edge of a re-gentrification. Theres a lot of money going into development there. He also got a good lease with really good rent for a space that also was the size he was looking for plus didnt require a major retrofit or rebuild. He also liked the size of the upstairs kitchen that cant accommodate too many staff as well as the as the larger downstairs prep kitchen thats big enough to make everything in house.

Though the food at Birch is based around Mediterranean flavors because Californias climate and produce are similar to the Mediterranean, that doesnt mean his team wont use influences from around the globe to http://searsgaragedoors.com/ really push the boundaries with flavor and presentation. Collins wants to give people an experience that they are not always use to getting. Collins also noted he likes food to taste quite comforting. He doesn't like being challenged too much with food. Collins stated, The art of drinking and eating, I think, is supposed to be comforting and thats why we do it.

Collins believes that the culinary envelope has opened. For him, this means that if a chef cooks well plus understand flavors and techniques, the envelope is open and boundary-less so a chef isn't restricted by style or technique or concept. Collins said they're taking the same approach with the bar, mixing and creating great flavors. The aim is to be really detail oriented in order to make the best drinks that they can make. Aside from not being too California cab heavy, the wine list also is not restricted by rules. The list includes some Grners, Rieslings, Gewrztraminers, and other really nice wines from both the old and new world. They also have biodynamics. But that isnt a focus. Again the focus is about getting the best wine they can get their hands on that pairs well with the food.

I dont take a philosophical look at food. I take more of an analytical look at food. And I like to cook what people want to eat. I think it is very important that food is recognizable. You use the best quality ingredients you can afford to use. You develop flavors. Its not experimental. Its more developmental. Thats always served me well in my career as a chef. My restaurants have always been busy which I'm happy for.

With thin margins, Collins is doing what he needs to do to be successful with both his strategy for Birch and for his other ongoing and future operations. As Collins concluded, I think we always have to remember that a restaurant is a business. Its very easy to have it as a play thing or a toy. The reality is that it is a business. It has to make money to survive.

Though Collins was clear with the level, pricing and quality of the ingredients for the cuisine and cocktails he wanted to do while conceiving Birchs food and drink menus, he had a different approach regarding the restaurants concept. Namely, he never likes to be tied to an overall concept because he doesnt want to box himself in with what hes able to do. Thats what Collins thinks is the beauty of Los Angeles restaurants. You dont need to be an Italian restaurant. You dont need to be a French restaurant. You just need to cook good food. Chef Collins said he learned this from Josiah Citrin at Melisse. Citrin just makes food that looks nice and tastes fucking delicious.

Third part of 3 parts, please start here with Part 1

Chef Brendan Collins

In addition to Birch, and Collins involvement with Larrys in Venice, Collin recently also took over the Corner Door in Culver City, and installed one of former CDCs Ali Khan Haji from Waterloo to run the kitchen there. He also is in charge of the menu at the recently opened Butchers Dog Pub & Restaurant on Sawtelle in Little Osaka in West Los Angeles. Here too hes placing another one of his CDCs Stuart Gerber. Opening additional restaurants does two main things for Collins. First it helps him retain and promote key personnel he taken a lot of time and effort to train. Second, having several restaurants gives him more buying power with suppliers especially for a lot of the more mundane items from Sysco or, for now, US Foods. As Collins noted, If you have one restaurant, you pay a vendor this much money. If you have two restaurants youre paying this much money. If you have seven restaurants, you're getting massive deals. All of the sudden, all of your bottom line, your liquor cost , beer cost, wine cost, your food costthey all start making sense. You get six or seven restaurants and you go to Sysco, and you say every one of my restaurants needs plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and to-go boxes. I want them at fucking rock bottom prices or Im going to someone else for it. Before you know it, youre paying nothing for this stuff. And this is all the stuff that hurts you. If you want to turn a restaurant from a 10% restaurant to one that makes 20% profit, you need five of them. Plain and simple.

The food at Birch also isnt directed by any sense of nostalgia like growing up eating kidney pies. Drawing again from his time at Melisse with Chef Citrin, Chef Collins instead goes to the farmers markets and looks for good ingredients for inspiration. Thus he and his team take the best stuff they can get their hands on and cook with it. So, for example, if he finds a cauliflower thats really tasty first he queries himself are these cauliflowers going to sell? Next he questions, what does he combine with these cauliflowers to make them sell? Then he next muses. how does he make that cauliflower absolutely delicious so the customer wants to not only buy it but enjoyed it so much that the customer comes back the next day to order the same thing? Then Collins with his team gets to work. They start developing ideas. They take the cauliflower cook, Blanche, roast, dehydrate, fry, and grill it. They do whatever it takes cooking the cauliflower a multitude of different ways including with cheese, without cheese, with butter or without butter, etc. They work to develop the best flavor from the cauliflower. Once they develop those flavors, feel that that cauliflower is great, and are happy with it plus convinced its going to sell, then they go to the waiters, and tell them what theyve done so the waiters can then sell this cauliflower dish to the restaurants patrons.

Shortly after the doors closed at Waterloo & City in Culver City, the roll up door opened at Birch. Obviously the timing was no mistake, Chef Brendan Collins was able to retain key personnel from Waterloo & City and move them to his new restaurant in Hollywood. With respect to the overall economy, Birchs timing for opening its doors was also a lot better than its predecessor. In 2015, with an improved economy, people are more willing to spend than when Collins opened Waterloo & City in 2010.

Consequently when putting together Birch, Collins and his team decided they wanted to do a more upscale restaurant to reflect this increased confidence with great food, a great wine list, a great beer list and great cocktails. So, for example, before juicing a fucking lime, Collins and his staff spent weeks on the liquor list just trying to get allocations for the best possible alcohol they could procure by working with distillers. Since the restaurant is small (54 seats inside and 16 more on the patio so 70 seats altogether) not doing 450 covers on a Friday night and because over the years Collins has been fortunate to hire and work with great people, Collins really wants to put the finer details on everything at Birch.

In addition to dinner, Birch is also open for brunch on weekends, and lunch during the week. Collins realized the importance of having lunch business specifically how important that is to both the top and bottom line revenues. Hes realized a small restaurant definitely needs both lunch and dinner. Plus Collins wants to build a catering business for all the offices in the area. Collins believes if Birch makes a certain amount of money with the office catering, lunch and brunch, then he doesnt have to turn the restaurant three times for dinner. Hed rather not pushed the kitchen and bar that much. Though thus far that hasnt been the case, since fortunately dinner business has been very good and up until recently neither he nor his CDC Phillip Hall had taken a day off after working fourteen hour days for sixty days straight. However Collins still doesnt want to push the kitchen or bar too hard, because he doesnt want to lose the integrity of the cuisine or cocktails. For example, a number of the cocktails take 3 or 4 minutes to shake. If bartenders behind the bar have 20 or 30 cocktails to make eventually they're going to have to loosen up or change some. Collins doesn't want to change.

The Cucumber Blonde was the most interesting of the four, a light base with definite cucumber flavors that fermented out very dry. Instead of being vegetal or smacking of salad dressing the addition played very nicely with the extremely pale malt backbone, and might have benefited from a little more sweetness to enhance the cucumber even further. But my favorite of the day was the Jalapeo Saison, a sharp and fruity pepper on the nose with a familiar acid burn on the tongue, assertive but not firey or painful. A big hit at the 2014 Brew Riot and the strongest of this bunch at 6.1% ABV, the yeasty esters or sour notes traditional to the saison base were mostly engulfed by the chile's fresh flavor but pepper beers are very difficult to pull off well.

In all, a successful effort by this rookie brewer and his self-described craft beer laboratory. Looking forward to more of the new, fresh, different and funky.

Sloan mentioned that he had no intention of only brewing fruit beers but these ingredients on order arrived first, and he thought it best to brew with what was on hand while still fresh rather than delay. Darker beers are on the horizon, next being a Caf Au Lait Coffee Milk Stout before heading off into the wild West Coast IPA territories, and once up to speed the tap wall should host 10 or more house brews at any given time. Batches are only a half-barrel in size -- 15 gallons of each beer -- which means that nothing will last too very long. Growler fills were off-limits during the grand opening to make sure there was enough to go around, and none of these beers is guaranteed to see another weekend.

Fitting nicely into aluminum muffin tins, samplers of owner and brewer Jacob Sloan's four new house beers included Cucumber Blonde, Jalapeo Saison, Raspberry Tart and Orange Wit. The award-winning Raspberry Tart was by far the crowd favorite, a light reddish-pink pour with a tart, almost soda-like berry sweetness with a great balance and the most quaffable of this freshman bunch. A traditional Belgian witbier with a fresh OJ http://home.howstuffworks.com/home-improvement/repair/how-to-repair-a-garage-door.htm addition, the Wit was a murky mustard yellow, lightly spiced wheat base that was heavy on the juicy flavor and brewed specifically to celebrate this grand opening.

After a full month open and serving other people's beers, and after postponing a scheduled celebration due to Mother Nature, a.k.a. the Ice Queen, On Rotation finally found a mild and pleasant Saturday for a grand opening and the debut of their own house brews. With roll-up doors thrown wide to enjoy the seasonal weather, a crush of steady crowds filled the new place adjacent to White Rock's Il Cane Rosso as everyone sipped on the four freshly brewed beers while chomping on freshly baked pies purchased next door.

After unplugging the motor to prevent accidental star- up, go in and look at the hardware on your garage door. Are the tracks clean and free from any obstructions? Clean and lubricate the tracks, then check to make sure every piece of hardware is tightened properly. Garage doors naturally create a great deal of vibration in their daily use. These vibrations can easily cause the hardware on the system to gradually loosen. This loose hardware can become an easy source of malfunction. So be certain to check and tighten your hardware at least once a year.

However, with just a little bit of maintenance and tuning, you can keep your automatic garage door working and repair-free year after year after year. Just a few minutes of tune-up time a year is all you need.

Until it breaks. Or stops.

Keep it clean.

Your garage door is, lets face it, something you dont necessarily really want to think about if you can avoid it. It works for us, day in and day out, flawlessly doing the job it was intended for, never breaking, never stopping.

And once a year, go ahead and replace the weather seal or weather stripping. This plastic seal at the bottom of the door helps keep the weather out, but wear on these pieces tends to happen quickly. Purchase a replacement seal for your model of garage door, slide the old one out. Clean the slot carefully, spray it with a silicone lubricant and slide the new seal in. This will keep your door looking good, help your performance by sealing out debris, and keep the weather and elements outside your home.
